IMX219 8MP Raspberry Pi compatible camera module features Sony IMX219 color sensor. The sensor has a 1/4" optical format, combined with a pixel size of 1.12 µm x 1.12 µm, to deliver 8MP 3296 x 2480 images. This is a rolling shutter sensor that can simultaneously Captures an entire column (or row). The sensor compiles the image by scanning horizontally (or downwardly). It provides excellent performance in image quality, color fidelity, and low light. Still shooting.
